Ubiquity’s Speak Conferencing is a highly-scalable, carrier-class, IP conferencing application that enables Service Providers (SPs) to offer hosted audio as managed services for large enterprises.

Speak leverages Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), VoIP and the innovative Ubiquity SIP Application Server architecture. This easy-to-use, browser-based solution offers a complete conferencing application feature set, as well as a web portal for scheduling, initiating, managing and terminating multi-party conferences.

Today’s enterprise is increasingly dispersed geographically, includes numerous remote work environments, consists of highly mobile employees and partners, and is extremely reliant on individuals with specialized knowledge and skill sets. To be competitive, enterprises must focus on the customer, collaborate across business units, distribute critical information in real time and reduce CAPEX and OPEX. Most corporations use a variety of conference services to achieve these goals.

Current solutions present a range of challenges. External providers can be expensive, especially when leveraging premium features like call recording and transcription. Furthermore, the benefits are limited by the pattern of use. For example, more than half of all meetings start at least five (5) minutes late due to user dial-in delays, technical issues or lack of conference data. Finally, key capabilities such as provisions to enforce security, corporate, and regulatory policies and support for mobile handsets are limited or inconsistent between services.

The Solution

Thrupoint combines its consulting expertise in Unified Communications and Service Management with our carrier grade Ubiquity Speak Conferencing Server to deliver a comprehensive conferencing solution that addresses both technology and process challenges.

Thrupoint's Conferencing Solution is a carrier grade application for multimedia conferencing within an enterprise and between enterprises that enables same time, same place, same level of participation meetings. Our solution provides robust audio conferencing with flexible scheduling capabilities, in-conference handover controls, and instant messaging. The product scales to thousands of simultaneous users at a fraction of the cost of proprietary, all-in-one legacy conference bridges. The total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI) is so compelling that where appropriate, conference bridges can be left on for the day and used in squawk box mode.

Through its customizable web portal interface, Speak gives conference moderators total control by providing them with visual tools that facilitate conference management. The easy-to-use Speak web portal allows moderators to share presentations, web content, applications, and documents in real time with employees, customers, partners, and service providers across the globe. Users manage and schedule conferences from any endpoint including desktops, virtual desktops, and mobile. Email invitations can be to participants, permitting users to quickly and cost-effectively initiate conferences. Calls can be scheduled in advance or on the fly and users can dial out to all participants to start the call or participants can dial in. These features make conference calls more productive, thereby facilitating meetings with a greater number of attendees.

Users can see who is present and who is talking with the ability to launch sub-conferences. Unique pass codes can also be assigned for each caller in scheduled conferences to ensure security and authentication.
