Service Management Consultant- Remote/Travel

 

Years of Experience:
5+ years, recent experience in Service Provide and/or Enterprise (Cable,
Wireless, Data Center, MSO, IT)
Must have Skills:
• Has experience assessing organizational, process, tool and reporting
capabilities against Service Management and Capability Maturity Model
frameworks and industry best practices to produce:
o Assessments Reports and Gap Analysis
o Statements of Work
o Project Plans
o RACI Matrix
o Policies, Processes & Procedures
o Use Cases & Test Plans
o As-built Documentation
o Training Materials
o Understands and has solid practitioner experience in one or more of
the industry standard process frameworks:
 IT Information Library (ITIL)
 ISO/IEC 20000
 ISACA COBIT
 TMForum Frameworx
 Six Sigma
• Has experience with IT infrastructure service management and the
disciplines associated with operating an IT infrastructure.
• Understands the business requirements associated with operating an IT
infrastructure
• Has experience working with and understanding the service management
requirements for data center environments
• Understands the enterprise system management options for managing the
communications infrastructure
• Good oral and written communications skills
• High School Diploma
• ITIL Foundation Certification

Desired/Nice to have skills:
• Experience working in both the telecommunication, wireless , cable
industry, and Enterprise IT group providing services
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including formal
presentation skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong customer orientation
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong project management and organizational skills (PMP Certification
is a plus)
• Good understanding of telecom OSS/BSS systems and processes
• Experience working in a Service Provider Operations environment
• Experience working in an Enterprise Operations environment
• Experience in development and utilization of operations KPIs and
metrics
• Business Analyst, Admin, User or Developer experience with Netcool,
Remedy, HP Service Manager, Granite, Opsware, or similar COTS
applications is a plus.
• Any TMForum Certification is a plus
• Additional experience assessing organizational, process, tool and
reporting capabilities against Service Management and Capability
Maturity Model frameworks and industry best practices to produce:
o Balanced Scorecards
o Future State Architectures and Plans
o Strategies & Planning Roadmaps
o Business Justifications
o Service Improvement Programs
o Functional Requirement Specifications
o Tool Specifications
o Service Catalogs
o Service Level Agreements
o Training Classes and programs
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Four-Year College or University;
or equivalent training, education as defined by US Government
• Intermediate  ITIL certification
• Sample work products
